Life’s a beach in Alcudia

We have so much on offer at Club MAC Alcudia that we think it’s possible to forget there’s a beach nearby at all! But we know that balance is key to everyone having a great holiday and have a shuttle bus running from the resort to the beach throughout the day. It’s under 1km away so easily accessible if you fancy a stroll too.

Alcudia beach

Playa de Alcudia is a gorgeous white, sandy beach stretching from the port of Alcudia along a mile or so of coastline. It’s the biggest beach in all of the Balearic Islands with a 7km long stretch if beautiful, white sand. It’s also packed with facilities, from restaurants and bars to watersports, activities galore and even WiFi!

When you reach the beach, you’ll see that it’s divided into roughly two sections. The first half running from Port d’Alcudia to Cuidad Blanca is where most of the facilities are found. If you head further up the bay towards Playa de Muro there are quieter spots to relax in.

Families love it!

Our beaches in Alcudia are very popular with families because we have safe, shallow waters perfect for kids to play in. As well as the beach being 7km long, it’s also about 80 metres deep at all times, meaning plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the sand, sea and sun.

There are a few different boat trips that start from here, ranging from half-day cruises to day long diving expeditions for the skilled diver. Pop along to reception at Club MAC Alcudia and we can book you on to a range of boat trips and activities.

Activities at the beach

If you feel more energetic than a cruise, and don’t fancy full-on diving, then there are loads of fun things to do at the beach. Companies rent out pedalos, banana boats and ringos among other activities. There are also a few different diving centres nearby for those taking their water activity a bit more seriously.

Here are just some of the courses, activities and fun things to do at Alcudia beach:

  • Catamaran sailing courses – built for speed, catamarans are the F1 of sailing. You can book onto beginner courses or intermediate courses and find out for yourself how thrilling it can be to ride the waves.
  • Coasteering – this three-hour trip takes in Alcudia, Manacor and Calvia and is a fun way to explore the coastline with family and friends.
  • Stand up paddle boarding – perfect for all ages and all abilities, stand-up paddle boarding can be booked for just one hour or for a full day. Easy to learn and lots of fun to do, it’s an ideal activity for the whole family.
  • Kayak hire – you can hire out single or double kayaks for an hour or for a whole day.
  • Windsurf hire – for people already confident windsurfing, it’s possible to hire out equipment from between one hour and a full day.

Ask our Guest Services team for more information on activities at the beach. We can book in for you and arrange travel to make sure you get the best deal.
