Alcudia's City Fair

If you’re in Alcudia this October, Club MAC Alcudia would advise you to take some time out of your hectic schedule to visit the Alcudia City Fair. You’ll have a fabulous time!

Tourist hotspot

One reason you’re destined to receive a first-rate holiday experience when you visit Club MAC Alcudia is our outstanding location. We’re based in Port of Alcudia, one of Majorca’s most compelling tourist attractions, and near  the historic old town.

You’ll never be short of something to do when you travel into Alcudia. The town boasts a wide-range of historic and cultural attractions including the old city walls, the Church of St Jaume and Pollentia. It’s also home to a number of both traditional and modern boutiques, restaurants and bars, just ready and waiting for you to explore when you head into the town.

Alcudia City Fair

The people of Alcudia have also developed a fascinating culture, making a trip to the town an experience you’ll never forget. Every October, this culture gets displayed full force when the town comes alive with the arrival of the Alcudia City Fair. Taking place the first weekend of every October, Alcudia City Fair is the ultimate exhibition of Majorcan culture and products.

The fair sees local Alcudians set up of concerts, craft stalls, traditional Majorcan cuisine stops, equestrian spectacles and more in and around the town’s Market Square. The highlight of the event is the passacaglia held on the Saturday. This traditional musical children’s party, known locally as S’Estol del Rei en Jaume, features various iconic Majorcan characters, who delight the crowds with their enormous heads!

The Alcudia City Fair 2015 looks as though it’ll be a weekend the town will remember for years to come. Scheduled for Friday 2nd October – Sunday 4th October, the event features a number of specialist programmes from Alcudia radio, a range of exhibitions in painting, ceramics and artillery, and a delightful medieval fair. You’ll also get the chance to take part in a number of traditional games throughout the weekend, as well as try Majorcan home cooking and sample the area’s local wines.

You can get to the old town on a public bus from the main road next to the roundabout at the end of the road (turn right, opposite side) or on a taxi for just around 5 euros per way.

Experience Majorcan culture

If you want to experience authentic Majorcan culture, the Alcudia City Fair is the October event you can’t afford to miss. With exhibitions, shows, food stalls, parties and more, it’s sure to provide you with getaway memories you’ll cherish forever!
