As Club MAC Alcudia opened its doors for the first time this summer, we’re looking forward to welcoming you back.

The resort opened on 15 July 2020, with all of the necessary COVID-19 safety measures in place. Things aren’t completely back to normal just yet, but this is a big step in the right direction. We’re so excited to be open again.

Club MAC Alcudia opens its doors for a great summer

We’re working hard to make sure that your stay with us is a safe one. There is no active cases of COVID-19 in our municipality, which means there is no risk at the moment of the virus spreading to visitors.

But even though the risk is low, we’ve got loads of new measures to protect you and your family. So, while the sun, sea and sand are the same, a few things are a little different from your usual Club MAC experience. Here’s what to expect.

Rules for wearing a mask on site and around Mallorca

We recommend the use of masks in the complex when in close contact with people who aren’t from your party. This is for your own safety and out of respect for those around you.

Masks will be mandatory at check in, at the buffets and in the lifts. Outside of the hotel, the law says masks must be worn in public places outdoors and indoors except in public pools, at the beach or while doing sports. However, children under six don’t have to wear them.

Spanish law also has some other exceptions. The following groups don’t need to wear masks:

  1. a) Those with some types of respiratory distress that may be aggravated by the use of a mask.

  1. b) People who have duly justified health reasons to not use a mask, or who, due to disability or dependence make their use unviable.

  1. c) Those who are doing activities in which the use of the mask is incompatible.

  1. d) Cause of force majeure or situation of need.

Changes to room choices and occupancy

For now, only the Saturno building is open, which is looking great. We posted recently about the room updates, which you can read about here. And while we have just the one hotel building open, you can still choose between a Standard, Premium or Family room.
Using the Club MAC swimming pools

What about the swimming pools? Obviously, this is a big part of why you’re with us – the pool is where the fun happens! The large Saturno pool is open at any time, with no restrictions (including the kids’ areas), and you’ll also find the Marte pools and Dragon Splash Pools open. We’ve also increased the amount of chlorine in the water to keep you safe. Feel free to enjoy our pools and, of course, sunbathing. You’ll see that the sunbeds are positioned at safe distances from each other (at least 1.5m between groups) to keep you safe.

Eating and drinking at Club MAC

We know you all love our all-inclusive offer and we’re pleased be able to offer this for all of our guests. As you’d expect, things are a bit different to other years. You must sanitise your hands when you enter the restaurant and use gloves and masks when serving yourself. We are allocating sittings so that there will be no queues and have made more space in the restaurant by removing some tables.

The bars are open as usual, except for Jupiter, the VIP bar at the Circus stage and the Lake Burger Bar. Please keep your distance in the queues and sit at the distanced tables to stay safe. Our usual entertainment is also available, but you will need to pre-book for day events. You can also check out a show in the Circus area in the evenings.
