At Club MAC Alcudia, we have endless activities, fun and entertainments on site. As well as evening shows, entertainment by our fabulous team, sporting activities ranging from football to darts and much more, there is something for everyone at our resort.

But we know that when families go on holiday, particularly to our beautiful island of Mallorca, the beach is a big part of the fun. Here are some of the things you can do at the gorgeous, sandy family-friendly beach in Alcudia.

Getting to the beach

It’s less than 1km to the beach from our resort, so you can easily walk. Or you can pick up our free shuttle bus, that runs every half hour throughout the day to the beach and back.

Alcudia’s beach is very popular with families thanks to its beautiful 7km long stretch of white sand. It’s the biggest beach in the Balearic Islands and is absolutely packed with things to do, activities, sports, cafes, restaurants, bars and you can even get WiFi in some areas.

Beach set-up

The beach is divided into two, with one half running from Port d’Alcudia to Cuidad Blanca. This is the part of the beach where you’ll find most of the sporting activities and things to do.

If you’re looking for a quieter time on the beach then walk towards Playa de Muro for plenty of peaceful spots where you can sit back, relax and enjoy your beach time your way.

Safe waters

One of the reasons for the popularity of the beach at Alcudia is the safe, shallow waters. They’re perfect for children to play and swim in, although it’s always wise to keep an eye on everyone!

The beach is about 80 metres deep at all times, so there is always plenty of space on the sand for people to play and relax. For a bit more adventure, there are various boat trips that start at the beach. They range from half-day long cruises to a full day out for skilled divers. You can book trips at reception at Club MAC, we’ll guarantee you the best price for all boats trips and activities so pop along and see us.

Things to do

As well as diving, boat rides and cruises, there are also plenty of things to do at the beach. You can find everything from banana boats to pedalos as well as lots of other activities. You can also learn to dive at one of the diving centres that run along the beach for people who want to come back from their holiday with a new skill.

As well as learning to dive, you can learn how to sail a catamaran. There are companies that offer beginner or intermediate courses on the crafts that are known as the ‘F1 of sailing’. Or, you can hop onto a stand-up paddleboard, which is ideal for people of all ages and abilities. The perfect activity to try with your whole family, paddleboarding is accessible and can be booked for a quick one hour or for a full day.

Try coasteering

This three-hour excursion is guaranteed to inject some adventure into your holiday. It goes from Acludia around the coast through Manacor and Calvia and is a fun way to explore the area.

Other things you can do at the beach include kayaking (you can hire single or double kayaks for between an hour and a full day), windsurfing and much more. Find out from Club MAC’s Guest Services team for information on all the beach activities and excursions. We can make the bookings for you so that it’s as hassle-free as possible.
