Club MAC beer festival

We lay on lots of food and drink at our all-inclusive resort at Club MAC Alcudia, including plenty of beer. After all, it’s hard to beat a tall, cold glass of your favourite beer as a holiday treat. At Club MAC we have San Miguel on offer within the hotel, and at our VIP and Moon bars we have Carling as an alternative. And for beer lovers, the area has more on offer throughout the summer than you may think.

Craft beer has swept the world as the beer of choice, leading to lots of special local brews. It’s no different in Mallorca, with plenty of choice to try. Here’s a beer guide to the best beverages in Alcudia and beyond – sample them all if you can!

Beer Lovers Factory, Old Town, Alcudia

This microbrewery is definitely worth a visit. You can sample all the beers they make in their secluded, sunny courtyard. Chat to the brewers and find out the stories behind their ales. They produce up to six different beers, including Llop, which is golden and dry. A refreshing choice is Blat Witbier, while Bram Amber Ale is sweeter and darker in colour.

Dipa is golden with a citric flavour and Necro a much darker, black beer with a toasty malted flavour. If you don’t get the chance to have a look around the brewery, don’t despair as you can find their beers in lots of the bars in Alcudia. We recommend taking your time in the sun with a cold brew.

The courtyard is tucked away behind one of the brewing rooms, and when you’ve paid your entrance fee you’re free to try the beers they have on offer. A refreshing treat in the hot Mallorca sun.

Beer Room Mallorca, Inca, near Alcudia

Half an hour away from Alcudia, you can find the Beer Room Mallorca in Inca. This is more than just a standard beer shop, however, it’s a full-on beer lovers experience.

In the shop, you’ll find some of the very best of the array of craft beers to be found on our beautiful island. They’re all made locally, and they offer flavours ranging from the light and hoppy to the dark and malty.

It’s a welcome change from the cheaper standard lager that’s available everywhere on the island, particularly for real ale aficionados.

A day out in Palma

For more breweries, head to the island’s capital. In Palma you can find the Cook & Beer brew pub, serving a wide range of Belgian, English and, of course, local beers. The bar attendents are more than happy to talk you through the local beers, recommend local breweries and give you the low down on craft beer in Mallorca.

Nearby you’ll also find the Tramuntana Brewery and bar. Named after the mountains that run along the northern coast, it is a similar establishment with delicious beers.

If you plan next year’s holiday in May, then you can enjoy Beer Palma, the city’s very own beer festival, complete with beautiful views of the famous cathedral.

Oktoberfest in Alcudia

Later in the year, you can enjoy Alcudia’s very own version of Oktoberfest. Actually held in September to take advantage of the late summer weather, it’s a true celebration of good old German beer. Ask at reception for more information.

Cheers!
