The current global Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic could impact the start of the season at Club MAC.

We know that everyone with holidays to Club MAC Alcudia already booked and planned for this summer are concerned about the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The outbreak of this novel form of coronavirus is disrupting travel plans. Here is the latest information from us, and we will update you via this blog or by email as the situation develops.

The current Club MAC Covid-19 situation – updated 18 March 2020

From 15 March 2020, the Spanish Government declared an State of Emergency by Royal Decree 463/2020. Measures included limiting the movements of all residents in Spain (people can only leave their homes to buy food and medicines).

And on 18 March 2020 (today), it has been announced that all hotels are closing in Spain, and tourists are advised to leave. Businesses that are not offering essential services are also closed. There are now more than 250 million people in lockdown across Europe, as measures widen.

What does this mean for guests coming to Club MAC? We are continuing to hope that we can open Club MAC to start the season on 1 May as planned. However, because of this pandemic we can’t guarantee anything at present.

Refunds and rescheduling dates

So, if you have a Club MAC booking made directly with us, don’t worry. We are happy to reschedule your dates if you want to. And we also want to reassure you that, should you be forced to cancel your holiday, your money will be refunded. If you’ve booked with a tour operator or travel agent, you must contact them directly to find out their terms and conditions.

We’ll update you further as and when the Spanish Government releases more updates. Until then, we would like to ask you to stay positive about your holidays at Club MAC, stay safe at home, and wait until nearer the date of your arrival to make any decisions.
