What Food and Drinks Are Brits Enjoying Abroad?

Club MAC Alcudia recently surveyed our guests to determine what food and drink has proved popular with British tourists this holiday season. The results showed that Brits are choosing to indulge in ice cream, fizzy drinks and other culinary treats when they fly away from home for the holiday of a lifetime.

We provide guests with an all-inclusive experience, which recently gave us the means to produce ground-breaking research that revealed the eating and drinking habits of UK holidaymakers.

British people leave their everyday diets at the airport. The poll found that ice cream, roast chicken, pizza, Yorkshire puddings and roast beef are the favourite food choices of Brits when they fly out to Club MAC. The survey also determined that San Miguel, Pepsi, 7UP, Fizzy Orange and Orange Juice, were the five most consumed drinks by guests at our resort this year.

Home away from home

This survey indicated that Brits like to relax and de-stress when they go on holiday. The food and drink that proved popular with UK holidaymakers such as ice cream, fizzy drinks and beer give busy Brits everything they need to chill and enjoy their holiday experience.

Explaining the results of the survey, commercial director Miguel Amengual commented: “We find that our British guests enjoy a ‘home from home’ experience when on holiday, which is why a proportion of our food and drink items are typically British.

“In our experience, British tourists love relaxing in the sun and enjoying time with their family taking part in hotel activities. However, when it comes to meal options and drinks they expect similar choices to what are available to them at home. We try and cater for them as much as possible whilst also providing theme nights which give them the opportunity to experience different cuisines and local produce.”
