Club MAC Alcudia

Club MAC Alcudia is packed with things to do for the whole family. Whether you want to entertain the kids, teenagers, sport lovers or sunbathers, you’re bound to find something ideal for them.

With a choice of swimming pools, day and evening entertainment, a shuttle bus to the nearby beach, the Hidropark over the road, and Old Town Alcudia a short walk away, you may find everything you need is here. However, we know that lots of our guests like to get out and about and see the sights in the wider area.

Excursions available through Club MAC

There is lots to see and do in Alcudia and the surrounding areas of this beautiful part of northern Mallorca, and we have a variety of excursions you can book. Head to Reception to find out more details when you arrive, where our team will be happy to help you select the best option for your ideal day out. If you booked through TUI, or another travel company, then speak to your rep about how to book excursions.

Don’t forget that, as a Club MAC guest, you have automatic free entry into the Alcudia Hidropark. It’s the only waterpark of its kind in the area, and it’s just opposite the front entrance to Club MAC. You and your family can visit whenever you like and take advantage of all the slides and water features on offer. You also have a 20% discount for food and drink there and can hire sunbeds for just 4.50 Euros (they are 5 Euros for any non-Club MAC guests.

Here are just some of the excursions you can try out while you’re at Club MAC.

Marineland – full day excursion

This day out gives you and the family loads of time to enjoy the shows and sights at Marineland dolphinarium. Tale in the exotic bird and parrot show and learn all about these beautiful creatures. Get up close to the dolphins that live at Marineland and have your picture taken with them. Please note, there is not an option to swim with the dolphins at this attraction.

Marineland was fully refurbished in 2013, and there is a lot to take in. Include a tour around the park where you’ll find penguins, flamingos, reptiles and tropical fish. There’s an aviary to visit and a special viewing platform underwater to see the dolphins enjoying their day. There is also a self-service restaurant at Marineland, as well as direct access to the beautiful beach.

The attraction is located a couple of minutes away from Portals marina, which is one of the nicest ports on the island. You’ll have a tour guide to give you all the information you need for the perfect family day out. If you book through Club MAC, we’ll arrange your transport to and from Marineland, with arrival times scheduled between 10 and 10.30am and drop off times back to the resort between 4 and 4.20pm.

Western Park – full day excursion

Another full day out on offer through Club MAC is to Western Park, which is a Wild West themed water park. One of the best loved attractions at the water park is the Beast – it’s a ride that boasts a vertical drop of around 30 metres – are you brave enough?

Another scary ride for the adventurous is the Boomerang, which is a half-pipe standing 15 metres high. It’s definitely for adrenaline lovers, and thrill seekers. If that sounds a bit much, head to other rides, including Wild River, the MegaSlide or the Daky Park Children’s Paradise.

The day starts at 10am until 4.30pm, and it’s worth noting that there is no food included. If you’d like Club MAC to prepare a packed lunch for you and your group to take with you, just let us know and we can organise it. The packed lunch is free of charge when you show proof of having bought an excursion or hired a car through Club MAC.

Palma City and Palma Aquarium – full day excursion

This day out combines two separate attractions, including Palma City itself and its Aquarium. Palma is the capital of Mallorca, and is a must-visit if you like to discover the history of the area you’re staying in. The day starts at the Aquarium, where you’ll see all kinds of sea creatures from all around the world.

There are even sharks that live in the biggest, deepest tank on the continent. Known as ‘Big Blue’, the shark’s home holds an enormous 3.5 million litres of saltwater and provides the perfect habitat for the creatures. After a few hours enjoying the aquarium, you will be transferred to the city on a scenic bus tour, taking in all the major sites.

You’ll glimpse the famous shopping street of Paseo del Borne before being dropped off outside of the Cathedral. You can shop till you drop, wander the streets, enjoy the ambience of this wonderful city, or just find a street café and watch the world go by. However you choose to spend your time in Palma, you have three full hours to enjoy it, before you are dropped off back at Club MAC at about 4pm.

There are many more excursions available, for full days and half days. These range from Katmandu theme park, to visiting the Campanet or Drach caves, boat cruises and guided tours around Alcudia. Whichever you choose, we think you’ll have a great time!
