How many children come to Club MAC Alcudia?
We’re well known for our family-orientated holidays at Club MAC. Our staff work hard to ensure that every age group is catered for while staying with us. This ranges from our evening entertainment to the range of food available on an all-inclusive basis. And we know that when families come on their summer holiday, the most important question is: will the children like it?
In 2018, we celebrated 30 years of family fun at Club MAC, and we’re now looking ahead to the next 30! Part of our unique offering at Club MAC is the mix of family activities available on site. From our kids’ clubs to inclusive free entry at the neighbouring water park, there’s something for everyone. In this blog, we’ll look at just some of the fun on offer for the kids.
Plenty of fun for kids
Club MAC has just closed its doors for the final time on the 2018 season, during which we welcomed a total of 23,538 children! This is an increase on the numbers in 2017, which peaked at 22,916. Out of the children who enjoyed their holidays with us this year, we welcomed 2,003 babies.
With so many little holidaymakers on site, we make sure that there is always something for them to do. For example, our Mini Club is just for children between four an eight. They can enjoy their own playground, splash about in the toddler’s pool (Dragon Pool) and take part in plenty of organised activities. These do require a grown up to come along with them too, and include the Princess for a Day experience, face painting, water games at the Marte pool, a dress up Children’s Parade, picnics with Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter, a special ‘Explorer’s Day’ based on the Boy Scout philosophy and a chance to learn about reptiles in person.
Older kids’ activities
For older kids between nine and 12, we have a separate programme of tailor-made activities for them to enjoy. These include sporting activities such as darts, water games in the Saturno pool, waterpolo matches in the Jupiter pool, a chance to play in teams against our entertainers, a football competition and table tennis.
Of course, there are also plenty of things to do at the beautiful sandy beaches in Port d’Alcudia. We’re under 1km away from the beach, and if you don’t fancy the walk, we have a shuttle bus throughout the day. Kids can play in the shallow waters, dig sandcastles and take part in organised activities by external companies.
During our busiest months of July and August, we also have a dedicated activity programme for teenagers (13 to 17 years old). This includes plenty of sporting activities, beach trips with other guests and our entertainment team, dedicated discos and the chance to be an Entertainer for a Day.
Bear in mind some of our activities do require booking in advance, which just involves popping along to Guest Services usually on the day before. Apart from the dedicated activities, kids love popping across the road to the Alcudia Hidropark. Club MAC guests can get free entry as many times as they like, to take advantage of the range of slides and activities on site.
