Highlights from a great 30th anniversary year at Club Mac – and what’s in store for 2019
We’re nearly at the end of our 30th anniversary year at Club MAC Alcudia, and what a season it’s been. We’ve welcomed thousands of guests in 2018 and had plenty of fun along the way.
For three whole decades we’ve been hosting family holidays at Club MAC, and this year we celebrated this major milestone. Our anniversary season was packed with great activities, excursions and facilities. Whether it’s our popular Mini and Maxi kids clubs for the little ones, or the huge range of activities laid on for older members of the family, there’s always something for everyone at Club MAC.
Party time
Our 30th anniversary party went with a bang, as we celebrated with guests and members of staff. There were party games, dancing and plenty of fun. We’ve also been collecting photos from guests showing their stays over the years. As many families return to Club MAC year after year, we’ve seen some fabulous memories of years gone by.
Since we first opened our doors in 1988, we’ve welcomed 1,872,784 guests, washed 12,280,070 towels, loaded rooms with 109,039 km of toilet paper! Guests have enjoyed 444 tonnes of bacon, 3,001 tonnes of French fries, 5,710,740 hamburgers, over 48 million litres of Pepsi and much more!
And when it comes to entertainment, we’ve put on 6,440 professional shows and taken more than 2.8 million people to Alcudia beach!
And we’re not at the end of this special season quite yet! There’s still time to book for half term. Book directly with us online or by phone and you will be guaranteed the best price. If you get here before 22 October, you can also have fun at our Halloween celebrations on Tuesday 23 October.
When we say goodbye to our final guest for this season, we will close the resort. And then it’s all about preparing for 2019! Club MAC Alcudia reopens in May next year, and we have plenty of new things for you to enjoy.
Customer feedback
At Club MAC, we listen to our customer feedback and make changes. And if you’re a returning guest, you’ll find some major room changes in 2019. If it’s your first time with us, then here’s what you can expect.
For 2019, all our room types will be equipped with fridges, kettles, hairdryers, free WiFi, a safe and premium TV channels. So, no matter whether you book a Standard, Premium or Family room, you won’t have to hire any of these as extras. Previously, these facilities were already available in Family suites and Premium rooms. For guests in Standard rooms, they were hired through our partner company.
Room changes
The TV channels open for all room types will be: CNBC, CNN, Tiny Pop, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Sky movies Disney, Sky movies Family, Cbeebies, Sky 1, Sky Sports 1, Sky Sports 5, BT Sport 1, BBC1, BBC2, ITV 1, ITV 2, ITV 3, ITV4, Channel 4, Film 4, CBS Action, Magic UK, TRUE movies 1, TRUE movies 1, TRUE drama, Disney Channel, Paramount and Discovery MAX. Plenty to keep everyone entertained! The high-speed WiFi will also be available in Standard rooms, giving access to online entertainment too.
As well as kettle for your morning coffee, a handy hairdryer and a fridge, every guest will also have access to a safe with no extra charge. These changes apply to all rooms next year, even if you’ve already booked.
Changes to Premium
You may be wondering what differentiates Premium rooms and Family suites next season? We’ve made changes here too. Guests who book these options will have access to a dedicated check-in area, which will speed up the process. They will also be offered pool towels against a deposit, a selection of branded drinks in our bars, children’s bathroom amenities when they arrive, welcome drinks in the fridge, free access to Fun World area from 10am to 6pm and a 15% discount voucher for our Club MAC hotel shop.
