Alcudia

To ensure that travel isn’t an issue when you take the time to come to Club MAC Alcudia for your family holiday, this week we explain how to get to and from Alcudia.

There’s Plenty to Keep You Occupied in Alcudia

An outstanding family resort with three hotels, Club MAC Alcudia is located on the outskirts of Port d’Alcudia, which sits on the Northern part of the Balearic Island Majorca. A charmingly classic Spanish town, there’s plenty to keep your family occupied when you touch down in Alcudia.

But before you even think of what to do there, you first need to know how to get there. It’s very simple, all you need to do is fly or take one of two ferries. Meanwhile, it’s also possible to use Alcudia as a base to travel for a short sojourn to another Balearic island!

Getting to Alcudia

To fly to Alcudia, you’ll need to catch a flight to Son Sant Joan Airport, which is the island’s main travel hub, linking it to the rest of the world. With a low cost airline such as Ryanair and Easyjet, which offer flights, you can get there for less than 50 Euros.

The airport’s 60 kilometres from Alcudia, which is linked primarily with motorway, so you’ll have no problem using a rental car to get into the town itself in 50 minutes. Meanwhile public transfer is also available; read more about bus routes or get transfer information from Club MAC.

Alternatively, you can take a ferry. Valencia, Denia and Barcelona all carry daily ferries to Palma de Majorca, and from there you can use inter-island transport to reach your destination. Meanwhile, Barcelona has a direct ferry to Alcudia in the summer.

Getting From Alcudia

Whilst you’ll use the same transport to get home, it’s also possible to travel from Alcudia to visit another Balearic island. With a plane, you can fly from Palma to another island in under 30 minutes, with airlines such as Air Europa, Spanair and Iberia all running inter-island flights regularly.

Meanwhile if you want to take the scenic route, you can always take the ferry instead. Within a couple of hours, you can take a direct ferry from Alcudia and be in Menorca for a day trip. Ferries run from Alcudia to Ciutadella.

Give Your Family the Trip of a Lifetime

Make sure you follow this guide when you visit Club MAC Alcudia, and you’ll have no problem at all getting to, and exploring the Balearics from, Alcudia. With that stress off your mind, now you just need to think about how to make the most of the experience, to make sure your family is in for the trip of a lifetime!
